In Class 3A, Division I, the second-ranked Grandview Zebras (1-0 in district, 4-0 overall) host the Whitney Wildcats (1-0, 2-3), the team that denied them the District 7-3A, DI title on their way to a state championship in 2019.

While District 5-3A, DII takes an open week before beginning league play next week, three teams at the top of District 13-3A, DII will take on squad looking for a district win as the undefeated Buffalo Bison (1-0, 5-0) travel to take on the Florence Buffaloes (0-0, 0-4), the Riesel Indians (0-1, 2-3) host the seventh-ranked Franklin Lions (1-0, 2-2), the Clifton Cubs (1-0, 2-3) visit the Rogers Eagles (0-1, 1-4).

In Class 2A, DI, the seventh-ranked Crawford Pirates (4-0) come out of an open week to begin District 7-2A, DI competition by hosting the Tolar Rattlers (1-0, 1-4), while the Hamilton Bulldogs (1-0, 3-2) visit the Valley Mills Eagles (0-1, 2-3), and the Rio Vista Eagles (0-1, 4-1) hit the road to take on the Itasca Wampus Cats (0-1, 1-2).

The Axtell Longhorns (0-4) will be looking for their first win of the season as they open District 8-2A, DI against the Cayuga Wildcats (1-3), while the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles (0-0, 1-2) will open District 12-2A, DI competition hosting the Thrall Tigers (1-0, 3-2).

In Class 2A, DII, district competition begins this week in the Heart of Texas as the Meridian Yellowjackets (2-2) will be contending for a playoff berth when they visit the Albany Lions (3-1) in the District 8-2A, DII opener, while the Hico Tigers (1-4) play host to the Cross Plains Buffaloes (4-1).
