On the eve of the Texas High School Powerlifting Association’s Region 2, Division 3 championship meet March 14 in West, the University Interschlastic League (UIL) suspended all UIL-sanctioned contests due to the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). As a result, the THSPA promptly followed suit. Likewise, the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association postponed the Division 3 State Championship meet scheduled for March 20 in Waco.
