RISING TO THE TOP: FINAL POLL
Lorena Leopards & West Trojans remain in Class 3A, DI top 10, Crawford & Tolar hold steady in Class 2A, DI poll, while Class 2A, DII Mart & Class 1A, DI Abbott stay undefeated at the top spots in final rankings
With the conclusion of the 2022 Texas high school football regular season, nine Heart of Texas squads own spots among the state’s Top 10 teams in Class 3A, 2A and 1A with two holding the top spot in the final regular season rankings of their respective state poll.
In the Class 3A, DI’s state rankings, the idle Lorena Leopards (7-3) held at No. 8, while the West Trojans (9-1) remained at No. 10.
Other Heart of Texas state ranked teams include Class 2A, DI’s Crawford Pirates (10-0) holding at No. 3 while the Tolar Rattlers (10-0) remain at No. 7. Class 2A, DII’s top-ranked Mart Panthers (10-0) and Class 1A, DI’s top-ranked Abbott Panthers (10-0) held firm at the top of their respective polls, while the Jonesboro Eagles (9-1) remained at No. 3. In the Class 1A, DII poll, Oglesby Tigers (10-0) remain at No. 4 while the Bluff Dale Bobcats (9-1) moved up one spot to No. 9.
