TOUGH TIMES: Lady Cubs hit road block in Glen Rose tourney

GLEN ROSE — After wrapping up the Glen Rose Tournament with an impressive two-set sweep of Class 4A Castleberry, the Clifton Lady Cub volleyball team will host Blum at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Playing in the highly-competitive tournament at Glen Rose last Thursday-Saturday, the Lady Cubs (5-9) opened with a 25-6, 25-17 loss to Class 4A Bridgeport. Clifton went on to lose five straight matches to Class 4A Andrews, Class 5A Wichita Falls, Class 3A Bowie and Class 4A Iowa Park before snapping the skid against Castleberry last Saturday.
