As district races turn toward the home stretch the 2022 Texas high school football regular season, eight Heart of Texas squads rank among the state’s Top 10 teams in Class 3A, 2A and 1A with two holding the top spot in their respective state poll
The Heart of Texas state ranked teams include Class 3A, Division I’s Grandview Zebras (6-1) hold onto No. 3 while the Lorena Leopards (6-2) re-enter the poll at No. 10; Class 2A, DI’s Crawford Pirates (7-0) holds at No. 3 while the Tolar Rattlers (7-0) remain at No. 7. Class 2A, DII’s top-ranked Mart Panthers (7-0); Class 1A, DI’s top-ranked Abbott Panthers (7-0) and fourth-ranked Jonesboro Eagles (7-1) hold onto their spots; while the Class 1A, DII’s Oglesby Tigers (7-0) remains at No. 4.
