COLLEGE FOOTBALL HIGHLIGHTS: Week 8

October 24, 2022

While the Baylor Bears celebrated Homecoming in winning fashion, 17th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs remain undefeated, but 22nd-ranked Texas Longhorns & Texas A&M Aggies suffer crushing losses

Knocking off yet another nationally-ranked team, the Texas Christian Horned Frogs continues to climb the ladder among the Top 10 of the Associated Press rankings released Sunday.

After taking care of 17th-ranked Kansas State, the Horned Frogs remained undefeated and moved up another notch to No. 7 in the nation and became the only team from Texas making the poll. On the strength of their impressive wins Saturday, TCU vaulted to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 poll. The Texas Longhorns dropped out of the Top 25 after losing to 11th-ranked Oklahoma State on the road.

In other Texas major college action, the Baylor Bears celebrated homecoming with a solid victory over Kansas, while the Texas A&M Aggies continued to struggle in a surprising loss to South Carolina.
