Under the Friday night lights: Heart of Texas Class 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A & 2A teams move into Round 5 of the 2022 Texas high school football playoffs with full slate of State Semifinal matchups
As the 2022 Texas high school football season heads into the fifth round of the playoffs, there will be a full slate of Class 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A State Semifinal matchups under the Friday night lights across the state of Texas.
Four teams from the Heart of Texas – the Class 4A, DII China Spring Cougars (13-1), Class 4A, DII Glen Rose Tigers (13-1), Class 2A, DI Crawford Pirates (14-0) and the Class 2A, DII Mart Panthers (13-1) – stand just one win away from reaching the UIL state championship games held Dec. 14-17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
