While the third-ranked Texas Longhorns strengthened their positions as one of the nation’s top five teams, TCU as well as Texas A&M made a bid to re-enter the Top 25 rankings
Despite a slow start against Wyoming, the third-ranked Texas Longhorns not only took care of business as one of the nation’s top five teams, they moved up a spot in the Top 25 rankings with a convincing 31-10 victory over the Cowboys.
In other Texas major college action, TCU Horned Frogs dominated the Houston Cougars, 36-13, to re-enter the national rankings conversation, as did the Texas A&M Aggies with an overwhelming 47-3 victory over the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, while the Baylor Bears finally notched a victory by knocking off the Long Island Sharks, 30-7.
