Here’s the complete Class 3A, 2A & 1A schedule for teams in the Heart of Texas region on Week 10 of the 2023 Texas high school football season. Be sure to check back for up-to-the-minute scores throughout Friday night.
On location in Iredell on Thursday and Hico on Friday this weekend, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air features the Class 1A, Division II’s 14th-ranked Iredell Dragons (1-0 in district, 7-1 overall) hosting the resurgent Walnut Springs Hornets (1-0, 3-5) in a battle in what could prove to be the deciding factor for the District 13-1A, DII title at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Dragon Stadium for THE SPORTS BUZZ Game of the Week.
Then on Friday night, the Class 3A, DII Clifton Cubs (1-2, 3-5) make the long road trip to Elkhart to take on the Elks (1-2, 4-4) in a showdown to take the driver’s seat for third place in District 13-3A, DII at 7:30 p.m. at Jerry Ives Memorial Stadium, while the Class 2A, DII Meridian Yellowjackets (1-3, 2-6) visit the Hico Tigers (3-2, 6-3) in a District 10-2A, DII matchup at 7:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium looking to mount an upset to take another step toward their first playoff berth since 2017.
