Across the Heart of Texas, the Class 3A, 2A and 1A six-man football kicked off the 2024 Texas high school football season last weekend with excitement and surprises under the Friday night lights. So with that in mind, check out the current team records for 16 districts across the 10-county Heart of Texas region, along with last week’s scores and the upcoming Week 2 schedule.
After enduring scorching temperatures exceeding 100 degrees for three weeks of workouts and two scrimmages, area teams finally took the field for a full slate of non-district games. And certainly, there were a number of marquee matchups between state-ranked teams to give fans an early test of playoff atmosphere gridiron action.
