Here’s the complete Class 3A, 2A & 1A schedule for teams in the Heart of Texas region on Week 3 of the 2024 Texas high school football season. Be sure to check back for up-to-the-minute scores throughout the weekend.

On location in Iredell Thursday and Italy Friday, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air features the Class 1A, DII’s sixth-ranked Iredell Dragons (1-1) playing host to their surprising Bosque County rival, the Class 1A, DI Walnut Springs Hornets (2-0) at 7 p.m. Thursday in THE SPORTS BUZZ Six-Man Game of the Week.

And in THE SPORTS BUZZ Game of the Week, the Class 3A, Division II Clifton Cubs (2-0) attempt to remain undefeated as they hit the road for the second straight week to take on the pre-season Class 2A, DI’s 25th-ranked Italy Gladiators (1-1) at 7 p.m. Friday.

New this season, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air will present one of its weekly 15-minute highlight and interview segments every Sunday at approximately 3:40 p.m., sponsored exclusively by Clifton Feed & Service Center, before the 4 p.m. matinee movie at the historic and beautifully-renovated Cliftex Theatre in Clifton, the longest continuously running movie house in Texas, showing films on the silver screen since 1916. The Sports Buzz On The Air segment will replay every Thursday at approximately 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. feature film at The Cliftex Theatre in Clifton.

Once again this season, THE SPORTS BUZZ will provide award-winning coverage of the 2024 Texas high school football season, focusing on Class 3A, 2A and 1A schools in the 10-county Heart of Texas region — which includes Bosque, Comanche, Coryell, Erath, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Johnson, McLennan and Somervell counties.
