Here are Thursday’s and Friday’s final scores with updated team win-loss records for final weekend of the Class 3A, 2A and 1A Texas high school football regular season action from around the Heart of Texas region where 42 regional teams battle in 16 districts across the three classifications.
On location in Brady Friday night, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air features the Class 3A, Division II Clifton Cubs (3-1 in district, 6-3 overall) making a two-and-half hour road trip to take on the Brady Bulldogs (3-1, 7-2) in a District 5-3A, showdown for second place at 7 p.m. Friday at Bulldog Stadium in THE SPORTS BUZZ Game of the Week.
And in THE SPORTS BUZZ Six-Man Game of the Week, the Kopperl Eagles (3-0, 6-2) will battle the Bluff Dale Bobcats (2-0, 8-0) in a showdown for third place and pride in District 11-1A, DII at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bobcat Field.
New this season, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air will present one of its weekly 15-minute highlight and interview segments every Sunday at approximately 3:40 p.m., sponsored exclusively by Clifton Feed & Service Center, before the 4 p.m. matinee movie at the historic and beautifully-renovated Cliftex Theatre in Clifton, the longest continuously running movie house in Texas, showing films on the silver screen since 1916.
The Sports Buzz On The Air segment will replay every Thursday at approximately 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. feature film at The Cliftex Theatre in Clifton.
