Here are Thursday’s and Friday’s Bi-District playoff final scores with updated team win-loss records for the first round of the Class 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A Texas high school football postseason action from around the Heart of Texas region where 42 regional teams battle in 16 districts across the three classifications.
On location in Mineral Wells and Waco this weekend, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air features the District 5-3A, DII third place Clifton Cubs (6-4) return to the playoffs for the third straight season to take on the District 6-3A, DII runner-up Wichita Falls City View Mustangs (8-2) in a Class 3A, DII Bi-District Playoff matchup at 7 p.m. Friday in Mineral Wells High School’s Ram Stadium for THE SPORTS BUZZ Game of the Week.
In THE SPORTS BUZZ Six-Man Game of the Week, the back-to-back District 11-1A, Division II champions and seventh-ranked Iredell Dragons (8-2) will be making their third straight postseason appearance when they take on the Bynum Bobcats (2-8) in a Class 1A, DII Bi-District Playoff showdown at 7 p.m. Friday at Waco Methodist Children’s Home’s Bulldog Field.
New this season, THE SPORTS BUZZ On The Air will present one of its weekly 15-minute highlight and interview segments every Sunday at approximately 3:40 p.m., sponsored exclusively by Clifton Feed & Service Center, before the 4 p.m. matinee movie at the historic and beautifully-renovated Cliftex Theatre in Clifton, the longest continuously running movie house in Texas, showing films on the silver screen since 1916.
The Sports Buzz On The Air segment will replay every Thursday at approximately 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. feature film at The Cliftex Theatre in Clifton.
