With just four weeks left in the 2020 Texas high school football regular season for Class 3A, 2A & 1A teams, some district races begin to take shape as six-man football begins league play across the Heart of Texas.

In Class 3A, Division I, the second-ranked Grandview Zebras (2-0 in district, 5-0 overall) will travel to Dallas to face the A+ Academy Knights (0-0, 0-1), who lost their season opener to Dallas Conrad, 46-0, last week.

The marquee Class 3A matchup will feature the McGregor Bulldogs (1-1, 3-3) hosting the Troy Trojans (1-0, 3-2) in District 11-3A, DI, while the Dublin Lions (1-3) will try to knock the Comanche Indians (5-0) from the undefeated ranks in the District 5-3A, DII opener, and the Clifton Cubs (1-1, 2-4) will host the winless Florence Buffaloes (0-1, 0-5) on Homecoming Night at Cub Stadium.

In Class 2A, DI, the seventh-ranked Crawford Pirates (1-0, 5-0) will hit the road to battle for first place in District 7-2A, DI at the Hamilton Bulldogs (2-0, 4-2), while another clash between area teams features the Valley Mills Eagles (0-2, 2-4) at the Rio Vista Eagles (1-1, 5-1).

Hoping to rebound from last week’s heartbreaking 15-13 loss to Thrall, the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles (0-1, 1-3) will hit the road to take on the District 12-2A, DI co-leading and undefeated Hearne Eagles (2-0, 4-0).
